Welcome to the Operative Plasterers and Cement Masons Local 797 web site. It is our hope you find this website informative and easy to use. Our goal is to educate our members on all of the details of their union, their union leaders, their union apprenticeship and their union benefits. If you are not currently part of our Local, it is our hope you find this website informative and educational in order that you may get any questions you have answered or at least find out how you can get them answered.

    We have set this site up with five major areas of information. You will see corresponding “buttons” to click on for more detailed information about a certain area or topic. The five main areas are Membership Information, Newsletter, Contact Us, Apprenticeship and Benefits.

    The membership information button should be clicked on to find out where our office is located, what the requirements are to join the union and what the current status is of our Local. The “Newsletter” choice is a page you can go to and read the latest monthly newsletter in case you missed yours in the mail. The “Contact Us” page is simply an area you can go to find out the names, email addresses and phone numbers of union representatives who will be able to more thoroughly answer any inquiries you may have. Obviously, the Apprenticeship page is an area where extensive information can be found about our State Certified Apprenticeship program. And, last but not least, is our “Benefits” page. This is a valuable page in that it contains a lot of information regarding your pension, vacation benefit and health insurance questions. There are also several links on this page that you can connect to find out even more details about your benefits.
